Who will win the World Series?
The reporters of MLB.com want to know who’s going to win the World Series in October, so they went to those who are paid to figure out what makes a winner, the general managers and managers. After being told they couldn’t pick their own team, the managers and GMs favored the Red Sox to repeat…
That last part of the tease kills me because we all know that the men in pin stripes are coming back with a vengence this year. Even if we have to submit to pee test every day we will regain the greatness in 2008. Mark it down boys, mark it down! Who is your more well reasoned choice?
McCainiacs Must Persuade Grassroots, Not Commentators
Political commentators from various points on the right-wing spectrum are still arguing about the McCain presidential candidacy, lecturing and scolding each other — as if their opinions are going to decide the election. They take themselves too seriously.
The McCainiacs are warning McCain’s conservative opponents that unless they stop criticizing McCain immediately, he’ll never recover in time for the general election.
This assumes that if the pundits come around, the grassroots will follow, like mindless sheep. Newsflash: They are neither intellectually shallow nor easily led. They are informed, engaged, independent minded and principled.

This is what I have been thinking for a long time that just because so political commentator says it that I have to fall in line. Oh no we have our own mind and we sometimes use it. That reminds me of what the media does with guys like me they think that they can put us in neat categories and expect that we will act and react a certain way. If you are black Obama must be your man or if you are evangelical Huck, and if its talk radio you like surely the way Rush tells you to vote is the way you are going to go. Truth is a lot of us feel the same way Rush does but we did not need him to come to that conclusion that we have no conservative in this race. I made up my mind about John McCain in the 2000 SC primary.

Toshiba’s SSD version of the Portege R500 may be the best ultraportable laptop available right now, and it packs in much of what the MacBook Air lacks while weighing nearly half as much.Cnet Review
Toshiba is the first to put up a competitive product against the Apple that got a lot of press in the last few months. All of these products look like they might be geared toward some people who don’t need much processing power. Most of the applications I know of other than word processing would take these things down within a matter of weeks. Just my opinion.
